Mid-Hudson KP Mariners in the Hudson Valley
Our focal point is the Tappan Zee Bridge and the Tarrytown Light House on the Hudson River
Your participation is especially valued and we look forward to it. The chapter was chartered by the USMMA
Alumni Foundation in the 1950’s and layed dormant for many years and was recommenced in 1999 by Emil Muccin
and has been in continuous operation since. See latest updates
We run events year round and are always looking for ways to improve and expand our chapter and our out reach.
The Chapter conducts 3 General Meetings per fiscal year with an invited special guest as speaker. They are meant
to be entertaining and informative as well as networking and socializing events.
Our Executive Board conducts 4 Board Meetings per year and all are welcome to attend and learn about chapter activities.
Board meetings are normally held at the Executive Diner on 9A in Hawthorne, New York.
Additionally we organize and run an annual June Cruise from the US Military Academy at West Point on the West Point
Ferry Boat. Also in June we run our annual Golf Outing at the West Point Golf Course.
Our primary goal as chartered is to be a local chapter that keeps area alumnus informed of activities within the
USMAAF as well as the USMMA. We go above and beyond that by supporting both the Foundation and the Academy in
many areas throughout the year. Although we are a small chapter we are actively involved in many areas and
that goes along with our ancillary goal of supporting financially both entities as well as providing moral
and other support to the Midshipmen.
Previously we had yearly Chapter dues but the Executive Board has decided to embrace open membership and we will
host an open enrollment along with an annual raffle.
The Mid-Hudson Chapter publishes a Quarterly Newsletter as well as notifying our membership of
upcoming activities via email.
Our new website will serve as the informational spring board of our chapter.
